Taking Poetry to Cross Boundaries

Thursday, Sep 27, 19:30 @ 3F Forum, Eslite Spectrum Songyan Store

Young Hong Kong poet Nicholas Wong was born in a Chinese/Cantonese world, but chose to write in English. English is a core essence of Hong Kong culture. His poems enrich both English writing and Hong Kong literature, and are typical for boundary-crossing and mixed-blood. The panel will be joined by poet Sun Tzu-Ping who admires Wong’s works, and hosted by Cheng Yu. They will be focusing on the deep connections of poetry, sex, language and society.
