Written in the Stars: Poetry and Astrology

Wednesday, Sep 29, 19:30 @ Jiu Xiang Ju Books Gallery

“Fate” is a recurring theme that has fascinated so many writers. How do people understand fate? How do they battle against it? How to know oneself when the order is obscured? Apart from his literary works, S. Quanan is also a well-known practitioner of astrology in Hong Kong’s literary circles, while his counterpart in Taiwan, the poet Yang Ze, is obsessed with the micro/macrocosm of fate-reading too.  The dialogue between Hong Kong and Taiwan proceeds in the language of poetry to take a trip across the stars.
